Doomdooma College came into existence in 1967. It is now
provincialised and affiliated to Dibrugarh University. In the four
decades, the college holds the pride privilege in disseminating
higher and holistic education to the learners of the area dominated
by different ethnic groups and tea garden people. Currently there
are over 2000 student in the college. The college now offers
undergraduate courses in the stream of Arts, Commerce and Science
having 'Major' and specialty courses in different subjects. The
institution has developed infra-structurally with magnificent
library with well stocked books of 20,194 nos, essential magazines,
Newspapers and Journals. The library has separate spacious reading
rooms both for students and teachers and an attached E-Resource
Centre. Moreover college has the facilities of NCC (Boys and Girls),
NSS, Computer Cell, Book Bank, and financial assistance for poor and
meritorious students and Hostel facilities (Boys and Girls). The
institution has also the study centres of Indira Gandhi National
Open University (IGNOU) and Krishnakanta Handique State Open
University (KKSHOU) with diverse undergraduate, Post Graduate and
Career oriented courses.
The institution is committed to its mission and vision in all its
endeavors. It is our pleasure that 'NAAC' has accredited our College
with 'B' Grade. Now we have been trying our level best for better
grading in the coming Re-accreditation. The institution remains
confident that it can meet the challenges of the 21st century
through the combined efforts of the management, faculty, student and
public.
