Doomdooma College was established in 1967 with
pioneering and untiring efforts of certain sensitive persons and
backed by the public of the area. It is one of the premier
institutions in the easternmost part of Assam. This is a
provincialised College affiliated to Dibrugarh University. It is
located in a rural backward area inhabited by diverse ethnic tribes,
tea garden workers and other classes of people.
The college has been established to provide higher and holistic
education to the aspirants of this area. The aim of our institution
is to make the students socially conscious beings with proper
understanding of the worth of human values rather simply to turn
them into knowledge machine.
Our institution has the motto to enhance the academic experience of
the students from all walks of life by inspiring them, by taping and
channeling their potential and by enlightening them to become
productive citizen and individuals of integrity. To serve the
purpose, the college is offering diversified courses and programmes
of the university and distance education and also certain
co-curricular activities.
